Human Resource Management ( discussion/ opinion) Ethical Dilemma
You've been working as a talent specialist at a Manufacturing company for about years 3 years. You recently met with the President of the company, and were asked to hire new office staff. It is your first time meeting the President and you want to impress him. After discussing the job qualifications and job description you are confident you can hire the right candidate. But the President says "One more thing. I don't want you to hire a gay or lesbian for this position because it would make me uncomfortable. I have nothing against them. I just don't want someone like that on my office staff. I'm sure you understand." You're surprised and a bit shaken. What do you do?
