Your textbook talks a lot about the concept of ethos, "a form of proof that relies on the audience's perceptions of a speaker's leadership qualities or competence, character, goodwill, and dynamism." Think about people in contemporary society that have high ethos and compile a list of three of them.
Then think of other sources of information besides people that have high ethos and compile a list of three of them. Discuss your lists. Why are these people and information sources credible? What makes you respect the information that they have to offer? Note: be sure your response incorporates speech elements and not just personal opinion.
