Your company has recently been awarded a large federal government contract. Due to this you are now required to file an employment equity report annually. In talking with some of your HR colleagues in the federal sector, you have learned that the requirement to file an employment equity report annually is a very time consuming task, particularly the undertaking of a “systemic review” of your HR systems. You have also been told that there are few real penalties associated with not doing the review.
