Question: Part1: You will write about Mercury as an Endocrine-Disrupting Chemical (EDC) found in our environment and determine the possible effects it may have on the human population. Use evidence of its' endocrine-disrupting effects on lower animals to predict what might happen in humans.
Part 2: Now imagine that you are living in a country other than the United States. Choose a different country, any country will do, state which "other" country you are living in and decide if the contaminate that you are writing about (Mercury) would be present in your "other" country or not. Then:
P2A) If the EDC is present, would it more likely be present in a higher or lower concentration than the United States AND Why?
P2B) If the EDC is not present, Why would this contaminate NOT be found in your "other" country? Consider the fact that we now live in a global society and if the environmental protection laws in the "other" country would be more stringent or less stringent than the United States.
Write one-two pages on the EDC Mercury and answer the questions asked in Task P2A or P2B above. All sources must be cited (Biology uses CSE Style).ALL answers WILL BE checked for plagiarism via Turnitin.com. Questions? Ask me.
