Team HYPOTHESIS & VARIABLES
You should be familiar with the experiment that has been chosen for the team research project before attempting to answer these questions. That means you should read the Experiment Details document, participate in the online study (so you have a better understanding of what your participants actually did), and review the Experiment Data (so you understand exactly which variables are available for you to analyze). Answer the following questions with respect to your team's specific choices for the research study (this means the study as your team has decided to analyze the data, which will not necessarily be the same as the originally designed study). 10 points total
1. What is your team's research hypothesis? (Make sure you read the instructions for how to write an appropriate research hypothesis in the Research Project Guide.)
2. What is the independent variable in your study (you should have only 1 IV unless you've discussed a special exemption for your team to investigate 2 IVs)?
3. How many levels does your IV have? What are those levels?
4. Is your IV a quantitative or categorical variable?
5. What is the dependent variable in your study (you should have only 1 DV)?
6. Is your DV a quantitative or categorical variable?
