Scenario: You have been promoted to the position of “Social Networks Manager” in a rather large organization that has over 2,000 employees. The CMO wants to launch an initiative to totally revitalize communication within the organization, with the objective of making virtually every employee aware of the new mission statement of the organization. You are required to develop a plan for a private social media network that will engage all employees, so that there is no question that they are aware of the new mission and tagline of this company. The plan will also show how the organization will continue to communicate with employees on an ongoing basis. You will develop a unique, private corporate network that incorporates the use of at least 5 social media applications/platforms, including some, but not limited to the following: Facebook, Twitter, blogging, email, the corporate intranet, a new app for mobile devices, Microsoft Outlook, Skype, Instagram, presentation sharing, YouTube, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Tumblr, Flickr, Infographics, etc. You should also show how this will be integrated into more traditional forms of promotion, such as flyers and use of company bulletin boards, etc. You can be creative, since the first part of the plan will be an initiative to invite all the employees to a kickoff event of some kind: A party, online meeting, talent show, whatever. Included in the plan all the success will be measured. Also include how you will connect departments to departments as well as employees to employees. Your budget is $10,000 to set up the network and the event. Use the attached spreadsheet to complete this assignment. You may submit other materials, but this spreadsheet must be leveraged for credit.
