This assessment may be completed by groups, of no more than three members, or individually. If the assessment is completed by a group, a group moderation form should be submitted with the assessment.
For this assessment, you are required to interview a human resource manager, or someone who has responsibility for human resource management in an organisation. The assessment should also include a literature review on the role and activities of good people management.

Introduction - You need to state what the assessment is about, what company you are you looking at and the role of the manager who has been interviewed. You do not have to use the actual name of the company, but an indication of size and activities. You should not use 'I' in the assessment.
Literature review - You should present, in your own words, not cut and paste, what the literature says about the role and activities of good people management. Use textbooks, journals and reputable websites, e.g. www.cipd.co.uk Reference these in the body of your assessment, and in the list of references. Please look at the reference handbook on webcourses. Referencing is very important. Include at least 10 different references.
Interview Data - Describe what the interviewee's organisation does in respect of people management. This is should be presented in themes, not a transcript.
Analysis - How does the interview data compare to the literature?
Conclusion -A summary of your overall conclusions.
