You are a consulting associate with Organizational Development, Inc., a national consulting firm that specializes in helping healthcare organizations deal with change. Your client is a 300-bed rehabilitation hospital. This organization has been in the midst of implementing some major new changes in the operations of the facility to respond to rapid changes occurring in the service area. However, as they have begun this implementation they have run into significant resistance by the medical staff and some key Department Heads who feel threatened with the proposed changes.
