Problem: Exploring and issue in your major essay
1. Writing about the controversy surrounding certain dog breeds being modified (docking tails for certain breeds or cropping ears, for example). You essay could start by explaining why these things were done for dogs originally. Then you might show what some people are saying about why this is no longer necessary or appropriate. Then you might show why some still think this "breed standard" is important. You might end by saying that this topic is controversial and one that each person must decide for themselves before choosing to have their dog modified.
2. Your essay should also demonstrate your ability to summarize, quote accurately, (thesis) and general essay format with instructions, body and conclusions.
