Reading 1:-
International travel medical insurance is available for international travelers. U.S. citizens traveling abroad, foreign nationals traveling anywhere internationally, and recent immigrants to the United States may purchase some form of this coverage. In addition to vacation travelers, this market includes employees of domestic, international, and multinational corporations that require their employees to travel abroad, missionary groups, and intercultural and student exchange programs.
The period of coverage for international travel medical insurance can range from a minimum of 15 days to a maximum of 1 year; optional renewal of some policies is up to 5 years. Benefits cover the expenses of inpatient and outpatient hospitalizations as well as medical and related services. The insured may select a deductible, usually in range of $100 to $2500.
Levels of coinsurance are frequently available at 80 percent up to specific dollar amount- $5000, for example- with a benefit payment of 100 percent thereafter to the policy maximum. Such maximums may range from $ 10,000 to as high as $2 million or more. The expense of repatriating mortal remains in the event of death .
