Instructions:
Write a letter to your family about your experiences in one of the wars we studied in this lesson.
The letter must be at least three complete paragraphs.
This should be formatted like a letter including the 5 elements of a proper letter as shown in the example below.
The letter should mention at least four aspects from the different culture and environment (here are some ideas):
a. Hardships that you faced.
b. A new technology that you encountered.
c. A different culture that you encountered.
d. A type of person you've never seen before (like an enemy soldier or a rural peasant).
e. Interesting geographical features like specific mountains or rivers (provide accurate names for them where necessary).
f. A battle you participated in.
g. A type of exotic animal or plant that you saw.
Be sure to discuss your role in the war (such as a soldier, nurse, or civilian - be specific).
Remember, you are seeing these things for the first time and your family has never seen them so you'll need to use great detail.
Make sure that the things your character sees and experiences would be possible (for example, a 19th-century British soldier would not be riding in the space shuttle).
