Our job as a Learning Team is to choose a company you are familiar with or a company where a team member currently works, and develop a new IT-related project which is based on implementing a new customer database. Submit the company/project to your facilitator for approval before starting your research.
Select your company and project, selecting an idea to which:

Just as a reminder the company is Walmart, and we are going to use his idea with the iPad to maybe speed up the check out process. Maybe as a starting point I'll try to cover everyones part on what they're suppose to turn in. We could use the iPad on the self checkout lines. We all know the self checkout lines at walmart can get backed up, so whenever it gets backed up the associate who watches over the self check out can help the people in line. scanning merchandise with the iPad to make the purchase and using the iPad to make cash and debit/credit card purchases. Management would have to enforce a merchandise limit so the associate isn't spending to much time on one customer. so maybe make the self checkout a 15 item limit. You could use a new server or try to add it to walmarts existing server. connecting to the registers. The self checkout line does have a cash register at walmart.
