Superpostion of a uniform flow in the x-direction of velocity U and a 2-D source of strength q produces potential flow over a 2-D body called a Rankine half-body. The term "half-body" refers to the fact that only the front of the body exists. There is no rearward postion of the body it simply extends infinitely in the x-direction.
a) Find the location of the stagnation point at the nose of the body, in terms of q and U.
b) Generate an expression for the dividing streamline as a function of q
c) Generate an expression for the maximum height b of the body as a function of U and q
d) Generate expressions for hte maximum and minimum pressures on the body, if pressure in the upstream, uniform flow
