Case study:
I had patient who had below knee amputation, and need two staff assist with the cares. on my afternoon shift, patient open bowel and need to be change so me, my preceptor and health care assistance when to change her and while we were changing the linen get spoil and we were changing the linen, so when we were pulling the dirty linen it get stuck under patient and healthcare assistance started giggling and the patient feels so ambrance she thought the health care assistance is laughing on her because she did big mash. after we clean the patient was crying and told her husband and son that the health care assistance was laughing on her and she said she ambrance to ask help and husband and son was also got angry about what happen. She was really upset of loosing her leg and she thought the health care was laughing on her. She was really depressed after amputation and feels helpless. family made complain and health care assistance went to apologize and explained why she giggle, it's nothing to do with her, she giggle on linen because it was stuck and didn't pull it properly.
