Write Critique of Women's Literature
It is common for people to critique literature, especially when it presents new thoughts and ideas. The field of women's literature is no exception. For example, early feminist writing has been critiqued as representing solely the experience of the middle-class white woman. Newer voices in women's literature offer fresh perspectives.
For this discussion, address the following:
Are there perspectives of women of color becoming more visible in contemporary literature? How or how not?
Use quotes from two of the readings for this unit, or from other examples of women's literature, to illustrate your point.
Refer to the Discussion Participation Scoring Guide for posting expectations.
