Obesity is a chronic disease that is characterized mainly by the excess of body fat. The fat that accumulates in the body can cause serious health problems in the individual with obesity. It is important to note that obesity is related to weight gain, however, not all weight gain means obesity. The number of children and adults with obesity has been increasing due to the changes of modern society. The World Health Organization considers obesity today a public health issue as serious as malnutrition. Obesity is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, diabetes type 2, and hypertension, among others. It may be related to genetic inheritance and hormonal dysfunction, but the primary cause of excessive accumulation of fat in the body is the convenience of today's society and the culture of a poor diet.
Nowadays, people have many tasks and less time to accomplish them. Thanks to the Internet, there is no need to watch a class at school, grocery shop became easier and less tiring, solving problems without leaving the house is another advantage of the Internet. With all this facility, the human being tends to become more settled and sedentary, creating habits that are unhealthy; contributing greatly to obesity.
With less time and more access to many drive-trough restaurants. Some people opt for fast food, which is easy to get it and great for those who don't have time. However, it is not healthy. The individual must choose between what is practical and what is healthy and, most often choose what is practical.
