Cuff & Link (C&L) is a manufacturer of a popular line of clothing for young people. C&L is firmly established in its home market, which is relatively saturated and has little prospects for future sales growth (expansion). As the Vice President of Marketing, you are convinced that in order to increase sales, C&L must export its clothing line to Japan, Turkey and other various European countries.
You now must convince the your fellow classmates on this plan. What are the advantages AND disadvantages of exporting in general? How do these impact your opportunity? In what currency would you choose and why? What factors should C&L consider regarding the possible need to adapt its clothing styles for its new target markets?
