Survey methods tend to be mainstay of marketing research in general. They tend to involve a structured questionnaire given to respondents and designed to elicit specific information. Respondents are asked variety of questions regarding their motivations, feelings, behaviour, intentions, attitudes, demographics, emotions and such other variables. Questions are asked via direct face to face contact, telephone, post or internet. Responses are recorded in a structured, precise manner.
