Background:
You are taking a break from your studying and check your email. You see a new message from a friend or family member. "How has school been?" they ask. "What are you studying?" You have just finished reading Christen Rosen's article, "Virtual Friendship and the New Narcissism" and decide to tell what it is about and give your response to the article. Considering the elements of this unique rhetorical situation (see below), compose your response.
Rhetorical Situation:
· Writer: You, in your relationship role (e.g., daughter, son, best friend, cousin, etc.)
· Author: A friend or family member of yours.
· Medium: An informal letter or email.
· Purpose: To accurately describe rosen's argument and explain your reaction.
· Occasion: To demonstrate something you have learned in your University writing class.
