write a formal critical paper that is approximately 1200 words in length. It is to compare the film adaption and the story The Dead by James Joyce by focusing on one of the characters. However both of these pieces of art are very similar and i am at a loss for how to form a comparative essay when almost everything is similar.
Would this work as a Introduction or is this to much of a character Analysis.
"The way in which a person acts can say many things about a person's inner thoughts. Many of the characters actions show what they believe through their actions, but they also show what they want others to see. Gabriel Conroy, one of the most important characters in the novel and movie, expresses his unhappiness with Ireland during his dance with Mrs. Ivors; understandably, his following conversation with Mrs. Ivors leaves him with a defeated attitude. Despite his tremendous internal struggle before his speech Gabriel must endure throughout the novel, his actions show through to reveal an educated and judicious man."
