Question I: Data Lifecycle Conceptual Models
Revisit the data lifecycle and conceptual models we discussed in Module.
Include the following in your answer:
i. A brief description of one of the conceptual models.
ii. A discussion of how conceptual models assist us in understanding data curation and management.
iii. A discussion of what you believe is missing in the conceptual models, and what aspects of data are overlooked.
Question II: Data Types, Big Data, Small Data
When considering how data is collected and managed, data types (both format and scale) become important to consider. Consider the complexities and characteristics of big data and small data.
Include the following in your answer:
i. A brief discussion and definition of big data and small data.
ii. A discussion of how data types (format and scale) complicate data curation and management, as well as specific considerations for big and small data.
iii. A discussion of what you believe will be important considerations for the future in regard to data types, big data, and small data.
