Article Review
It is better to choose ABDC journal article
Task Description:
Students are required to write a critical review of one journal article of 1,000 words maximum excluding references. You may select an empirical/theoretical article to review. Generally, article reviews have a distinctive structure as outlined here:
- Introduction (a sentence that introduces the author, title of the article, name of the journal, volume, issue, date of publication and pages. Students should need to: briefly explain the topic of the article; present the aim of the article; and summarise the main findings. The introduction should be concluded with a statement of your evaluation of the article).
- Body (a summary of the main points of the article in the same order the author uses. Students should also provide some critical response (both positive and negative statements) to the article).
- Conclusion (a final evaluation of the overall usefulness of the article).
As a general guideline, students should allocate 10% of their word length for Introduction, 80% for Body and 10% for Conclusion.
