Problem
I. Define the term "ethnic group". How do people use their ethnic affiliations in society today? Do you think of yourself as being part of an ethnic group? If so, what are the particulars of your ethnic identity? Do you have more or less of a shared identity with this ethnic group than your parents, grandparents, or children do?
II. Would you say that gender equality exists in the United States? How do you experience the opportunities or constraints of gender in your own life? Can you give an example of an instance when you yourself, another person, or a group of people have been denied autonomy and equal rights based on your/their gender?
