I. Using the internet, find a recent news story detailing a crime committed against an individual or group. Then do the following:
i. Define the victim(s) of the crime
ii. Describe the form of victimization
iii. Explain how a criminologist's view of the crime might differ from that of a victimologist.
II. Use a comprehensive scholarly data base to search the current research on the relationship between victimization and offending. Choose a scholarly article to read. What are the theories that support the relationship? What data demonstrates a lack of support for the relationship. (3)Describe the difference between a criminologist and victimologist.

I. Describe a recent news story that you believe exemplifies survivorology and or resilience. Would you refer to this person as a survivor or a victim? Explain your reasoning?
II. What social movements in your local area address crime victimization? Using the steps in chapter 2 on the process of discovery, illustrate how this particular social movement came to frame the issue of victimization.
