Terrance is a sixth grade teacher who works with a behavior analysts on helping Amy a student with Down Syndrome who is learning to greet peers and adults appropriately. Previously she hugged everyone and this was creating social problems with peers. The behavior analyst has recommended that they implement a reversal design with treatment being a combination of ignoring hugging and giving her tokens for appropriate greetings. If the treatment is effective at reducing hugging, would you agree with the single subject design recommended by the behavior analysts? Why or why not?
