Classmate Post:
In my geographic area the most vulnerable group are women and children. Women and children are among the most vulnerable populations in the world, suffering the most from illness, poverty, and disparity. Despite important roles within their communities, too many women and children lack access to quality health care, compounding many other threats to their ongoing health and well-being (CMMB, 2019). Agencies I believe could help these individuals are familyservicesforsyth, elizashelpinghands, and wsrescue. These agencies help women and children in poverty and survivors of survivors of abuse. They provide services such as counseling, safety planning, needs assessment, crisis intervention, case management, clothing, referrals, food pantries and support groups. Alot of these facilities are funded through donations, volunteers, and some get help through the government.
Gaps in these types of these services are limited capacity, insufficient services, safety concerns, lack of resources, and only focus on short term services.
