Assignment
1) Create 5 Questions in Your Area of Interest (WHICH IS DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. COGNATE: HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION)
Create 5 potential questions that you are interested in researching. Two questions should be qualitative in nature, two should be quantitative, and the final question may be phrased either quantitatively or qualitatively. For each question, list the question and then describe the following:
1. Why are you interested in this particular question?
2. What would you hope to learn if you chose this question as a research interest?
3. Why would studying the perceived problem be important in your field of study (i.e., significance)?
4. What do you expect the results would be if you chose this research question?
2) Project C: Conceptual/Theoretical Framework
Read John Latham's The Research Prospectus and found within the Blackboard course. Of the five questions previously submitted for possible research,(FROM THE QUESTIONS YOU ANSWER ABOVE) choose 1 that lends itself to a qualitative method of research study. Begin thinking about the problem and purpose statements that you would choose for this question, as well as the research questions. Then, begin determining the conceptual framework that would assist in the development of the proposed research study. If you need to change questions, you may do so at this time.
Submit your Conceptual / Theoretical Framework. Note that this must be a drawing, which may be done using Excel, Word, PDF, or by hand (which must then be scanned for uploading).
A cover page and the question chosen is required, as well as an annotated bibliography. No additional verbiage outside of the framework is needed, as the conceptual framework should be essentially self-explanatory.
There must be at least 5 annotations, including the authoritative authors for that method of study. Note that annotations are not summaries of the work; rather, they provide reasoning as to why you would use those sources for your research (i.e. their significance to your study).
Each annotation must be at least 100 words.
3) Project D: Concept Paper Prep
For the questions chosen in Project C, state carefully the problem that you are attempting to solve (i.e. the problem statement), the purpose of the study, and the significance of the study in relation to the academic and/or business world. In addition, include in your research potential theoretical concepts that would serve as the academic foundation for your study. The problem statement should begin with, "The problem to be addressed is..." The purpose statement should begin, "The purpose of this qualitative [type of qualitative study] study is..." The total submission must be at least 800 words to accurately reflect the problem, purpose, and significance of the study.
Remember, the problem, the purpose, and the significance must have context, and must not be merely listed in bullet form.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
