Problem
Why would a food company like Kellogg's open a restaurant in Times Square? With the expensive rent and labor cost, do you think Kellogg would make a profit for this restaurant? If not, then what's the real purpose of opening this new restaurant? Do you think that this new strategy will help the company? Can we expect to see a new fried chicken place by Tyson or a fruit stand by Dole?
Would you be willing to pay $6-$7 for a bowl of cereal at this restaurant? or any restaurant? The most I ever paid for a bowl of cereal was $10 at a café near fisherman's wharf in San Francisco. The food was OK, but the view was worth of the money.
For those of you thinking that this is a terrible idea, you are not along. The Kellogg's NYC store was closed by the end of 2019.
