Question 1. How do current issues around labor and rights for workers (particularly factory or wage workers) connect to historical social movements? What has changed? What has not changed? If you were a wage worker in a factory. what rights do you think need to be improved? Consider from the perspective that you want a balanced life (one that has time for leisure vacation. enjoyment. not just that you create a profit for a company).
Question 2. Why was civil disobedience so impactful during the civil rights movement? Does this method work in the current context? If not, what other options are more effective?
Question 3. Political parties are often seen as the fastest way to unify and create a speci?c agenda. Who do these leave out? Are all members of a party homogenous? Who is often not considered?
Question 4. Congress is often seen as hyper partisan, but there have been many historical examples of Congress being more equitable. During reconstruction. for example, there were many black representatives. What happened? How does this legacy continue to create disparities in representation?
