Assignment Task:
Write a minimum of 75 words. Vaccines are essentially a very sensitive topic amongst a lot of people, and everybody is entitled to their own opinions on whether they should be getting vaccinated or not. With weighing the risks of the disease versus the vaccine itself, there are several things that must be taken into consideration on both sides. Something very significant to think about in this sense would be the severity of the disease and the affects that it would have on you- essentially how detrimental it would be. Additionally, the outcome of the disease as well would have to be a thought to be considered by the individual. Then, this information should be compared to the risks of vaccination or the benefits to getting a vaccine. If the risks of the disease were to outweigh the risks of the vaccine, then as a result, the route of vaccination would likely be more favorable for the health of the individual and vice versa. Lots of vaccines are effective to the immune system by using weakened or dead germs to trigger the body's natural defense mechanisms, teaching it how to react and learn for future circumstances without actually being fully affected by the infections in itself at their full and utter potential. With vaccines, they are able to lead the body to become familiar with the germs so that they can remember them- if needed for later attack incase of invasion. In the case of benefitting society as a whole, it is important to consider whether vaccinations have the potential to protect others and not just the individual as one person. All factors should be assessed, taking it into account that they can reduce the transmission of disease, hospitalization, and increase mortality rates. Despite everybody having their own take or stance on the topic of vaccination, it is important still to be fair and educate oneself on the subject matter first before feeling the way you do about it and backing up your claims.
