In the case of the Week 3 reading and discussion, "Historical Moana," you saw a film about the history of Pacific Islanders reviewed through the eyes of a contemporary Native American who reflects on the connection of the film to her life. In the case of the Week 4 reading and discussion, "Redskins: Insult and Brand,"?you consider the history surrounding the earlier names of the Washington Football Team and the historical moment that led to the re-branding. Now it is your turn to consider a film that depicts history. You might discuss how the film was accurate in the depiction of the history it portrays, why the film might have been made when it was made, what the film's message is, or how the film might relate to you or to a modern audience.
Your analysis should use the principles of rhetorical analysis and structuring problem effectively and must have a minimum of two outside sources that can help the reader understand the historical perspective of the film.
