As discussed in this chapter, a survey of 358 compliance and ethics professionals by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and Health Care Compliance Association found that only a few companies have made ethics and compliance a process for determining how employees are compensated, and only about one company in six ties employee bonuses and incentives to ethical performance. Should companies link pay to ethical behavior? What might the pros and cons be? Explain your answer.
