Assignment task: Do you think it would be more ethically correct if people instead started buying from local farms where people raised their own animals in a more intimate way, treated them with compassion and worked with the animals as partners for their products like milk and eggs? If yes, then do you think farming should be a more popular career choice? Why do you think not as many people want to farm/work on farms as much as they used to in the past? Would you be able to work side by side with animals and then have to use them for meat product?
Do you believe this principle applies more to household animals because of the relationships they have with people? How may this kinship be acknowledged in the agricultural sector as well?
