1) Does National security outweigh the rights to individual privacy? Has there been a situation where the NSA took advantage of individuals' personal information?
2) The FBI initiates investigations after the fact of a crime, where the CIA tries to stay one step ahead by using covert surveillance. Given their roles in society, would the convergence of these agencies undercut our right to privacy? Why or why not?
Note: the FBI is technically allowed to collect information about U.S. citizens, where the CIA is involved with surveillance of foreign nations, and not our own.
