Problem:
Putting together everything you have learned about culture in general and specific cultures in particular: Why do you think it is important to help preserve cultures, languages, and ways of life around the world? What might we lose if more and more cultures disappear? Do cultures have a basic right to survive and be able to determine their own futures? What are some of the threats to cultures around the world, and what can be done to help them survive? Is globalization itself a problem (or even the problem), or can cultures survive even in the age of globalization? How can cultures preserve some sense of identity in a globalized world?
