Assignment Task:
You are a chef on a community health team (our class is the community health team). The team is developing an informative cookbook with recipes for people in each stage of the life cycle. Each chapter of the book addresses the nutritional needs of each stage of the life cycle. (i.e. Chapter 1 is about Nutrition During Pregnancy, Chapter 2 is about Nutrition for Infants, etc.) Your job is to provide ONE recipe for each chapter of the cookbook. This means you will need to provide SIX different recipes.
Things To Include Or Consider When Creating Your Cookbook:
Make recipe choices interesting to people in each stage of the life cycle; talk to your key audience (ie. if I'm a mother of a two year old, what recipe would you choose? why? how would you sell me on it?)
Must have 7 recipes in all
Address the interests of the age group you are choosing that recipe for. Consider who is responsible for the food preparation for that group (i.e. for toddler, you are likely talking to parents, for older adults, you may talk to them and/or their loved ones, etc.)
Provide an introduction for each recipe describing why it is good for people in this stage of the life cycle.
Illustrate the recipes or nutrient needs so readers will understand and remember the key concepts about their nutrient and food needs. (i.e. pictures, preparation pics, pics of equipment that they might not have used before)
You may also want to consider nutrition related illnesses and diseases that may impact your particular audience
