Why it is always considered america a democracy

Assignment task:

Typically, I have always considered America a democracy, primarily due to the fact that it is a simple term that covers most of its structure. However, if I consider it now, it presents itself more as a democratic republic. The reason for that is that the United States Constitution includes votes for political representatives to protect the peoples' rights and groups them into democratic groups. bodies and branches ( (U.S. Const. amend. I-X) ). Therefore, it has an election, but it also holds its political leaders to a constitution, which implies that the power of the power resides in the people and that the leader must abide by the law or, in America's case, the Constitution (Counter Arguments, 2019). Along with the fact that there is no one person with absolute power.
