Why is Brazil often called a sleeping giant?
A. Simply put, it is a huge country.
B. There are many untapped minerals, potential hydroelectric projects and vast acres of uncultivated land.
C. Many thousands of square miles exist where tropical diseases are common and quite dangerous, so people tend to stay away from these areas.
D. The economic backbone of the country (high-tech manufacturing) has been on an economic downswing for the last five years.
E. Too many migrant laborer are entering the country, thereby diluting the labor market and causing Brazilian’s to “sleep” through economic opportunities.
