Assignment task: Industrial food production is highly destructive and a major contributor to the global warming phenomenon. Many areas of agricultural production have issues, but perhaps none more than modern meat production. Given the planet's growing appetite for meat (of all kinds) how sustainable is it for us to keep eating it...and eating it in the quantities that we do? What are the environmental effects of meat production and consuming it the way that we currently do?
Read the following article (September 2021) that argues that meat production "causes twice the pollution of plant-based foods" and "accounts for nearly 60% of all greenhouse gasses from food production."

Begin your post by answering this question: What problems, realities and solutions can you find in your research? How does the diet you plan to follow help to minimize negative environmental impacts? You will need at least two credible sources for this portion of your post.
Next, use what you have learned from your study of this module, the research you have conducted for the first part of your post, and what you know about yourself to explain how you can manage your own food choices in a way that is environmentally friendly. You may need additional credible sources for this second part of your initial post.
Make sure your overall post tells us about the evidence that supports your chosen solution/approach. Check that your sources are credible and solid. Some of you may favor vegan or vegetarian diets or 'flexitarian' diets. Or you may plan to consume a certain quantity of meat produced in a certain way. Explain how your choice minimizes negative environmental impacts. You are welcome to comment on why/how the choice works for you so long as doing so does not crowd out showcasing new learning that has taken place through your research on this unit.
