Problem
I. Do you feel differently now that you see MLK in a different light? Do you respect him more or less knowing he was more like Malcom X than we've been led to believe-meaning, more radical in ideas and intent?
II. Why does whitewashing take place to begin with? (We find it in all areas of society: sports, education, media, politics, etc.) Who ultimately benefits from it? What can we do as citizens to prevent its continuation?
III. Our society is in crisis regarding race right now; we are at a crossroads. Other than the Black Lives Matter highway shut-downs over the past couple of years, (which can easily be compared to the MLK campaign in the article above), where do you see resistance to the current system and/or calls for change in our society today?
