Why does James Baldwin so handily defeat William F. Buckley in their debate? Hint: it's not only because he's right. Think of the terms of the debate (the question being asked), the argument each individual makes, how the arguments are made, and how they play off of the audience (who is the audience and how might that impact the message?). Aside from their performance in the actual debate's substance, do you notice anything interesting about each individual's body language? Does that tell us anything?
