Finance Problem
The derivatives market is virtually one of the fastest growing markets in the world. After the crisis of 2008, derivative products such as CDS and CDOs have received "bad publicity" because they seemed at least in part responsible for the problems that led to the Great Recession. Are derivatives a problem? Based on your studies, do you believe derivative markets are important? Which role do they play in financial markets and the economy overall?
