Problem 1: Why did the Great Depression happen? Use the "Why it Happened" section of the text and translate it into language that is easier for you to understand. If there are words you aren't quite sure of because you aren't an economist, spend some time looking them up or perhaps talk with someone else about it.
Problem 2: Both Hoover and FDR were presidents during the Great Depression. How did they handle things differently? What were the outcomes of their actions?
Problem 3: How were the experiences of Black, Hispanic, and Native Americans different from those of white Americans? Go into a lot of detail here (one paragraph each)
Problem 4: If we were to have another economic depression of this magnitude, how should the US handle it based on what is known of the Great Depression? Why?
