Why dealing with cancer is not easy in the slightest bit

Assignment task:

The type of cancer I decided to do research on was soft tissue sarcoma. Soft tissue sarcoma is a rather broad term for this type of cancer. Soft tissue sarcomas is a rare type of cancer, that affects about one percent of adults with cancer. Ten percent of people with soft tissue sarcomas are children along with adolescents. It is common for soft tissue sarcomas to begin in the arm or leg. However, this type of cancer can begin in any soft tissue this could be anywhere from the soft tissue in the nerves, muscle, fat, tendons, and even in the blood vessels. Some symptoms that can present itself is a new forminganywhere on the body, worsening abdominal pain, or vomiting. Another symptom of having soft tissue sarcomas is black or bloody stools. "When sarcomas grow in the back of the abdomen (the retroperitoneum), the symptoms often come from other problems the tumor is causing" (American Cancer Society, 2018). There is approximately a five year survival rate, after a patient has been diagnosed with soft tissue sarcomas. There are also many different treatments for soft tissue sarcomas some are surgery to remove tumors, radiation therapy, as well as targeted drug therapy.

Dealing with cancer is not easy in the slightest bit for the patient, or the family and loved ones. My grandfather was diagnosed with stage three prostate cancer. He wanted to get better but did not have a lot of money, and he was in Jamaica. He took a "remedy" from one of his friends who said he could cur it. The remedy caused him loose his vision. It took months for the United States to approve his visa for better treatment in the untied states. By the time he got to America it was too late, he was now in stage four. He passed shortly after.
