Question: There are glass ceilings and reasons why many Asian Americans do not end up in top decision making management jobs. The stereotype of Asian Americans are different than stereotypes of traditional managers. There is a national social and economic elite which Asian Americans have not been part of. Certain accents will open doors to employment and promotions, while other accents will close doors. Does Ronald Takaki believe that Asian Americans are a Model Minority?
