Problem
• Why are scientists not paid as much as an investment banker even though they are the reason we develop a better understanding of the world? (Ellen Baranczyk)
• What is the difference between empirical research and experimental research? (Kristina Blasius)
• Bausell states that the experiment accomplishes two main goals: "ascertains whether an effect or phenomenon actually occurs as predicted [...] and it eliminates as many alternative explanations for an experimental result as possible" (Bausell, 2015, p. 9). I am not sure if these two goals need to be accomplished with every experiment or if they are optional. Explain why both are critical. (Annalicia Bordayo)
