Topic: Transgenerational psychological and physical effects of slavery and racism on black people today
subtopics of gender and class can also be addressed if relevant, would like to come from the angle that explains where many stereotypes, as well as physical and mental tendencies of blacks in the U.S. come from (i.e. "why are (most) black people so rude?', "why are (most) black people so dumb?" "why are black people so highly incarcerated?", etc., and how that connects back to the psychological and physical, as well as social effects of slavery and racism, what are post-slavery black people in the U.S. predisposed to mentally and physically? (i.e. heart disease, depression, crime), adaptations/survival skills inherited from enslaved ancestors? how have these adaptations evolved into what they are today for black people in the U.S.?
