Problem
In order to achieve the status of providing holistic care to patients; health care agencies are required to provide spiritual care. Spiritual care is a non-reimbursable service even though those providing comfort are being paid. The concern is that using taxpayer's money to fund spiritual care is a violation of church and state.
Is this a violation of church and state? Who should be responsible for paying for this service? In health care these days everything has a billable charge attached to it.
