Q: Who makes the final hiring decision? What legal issues should be considered? Should a candidate's perception of fairness be considered?

According to Phillips and Gully (2015), the hiring manager will be the individual that makes the final hiring decision. The legal issues that should be considered are pretty much maintaining a fair hiring practice from start to finish. Avoid any type of discrimination based on the federal laws that govern the company, and also local and state laws must also be carefully weighed as well. There should never be a question from an outsider that unethical hiring practices have transpired with the company. Fairness is a factor that should be considered also (within reason). If a problem arises in the future, fairness can become a dispute within the court system to weigh.
