Who is the author of your article provide the authors

Source Annotation Assignment:

Use the assignment to annotate the source you will be using in the group presentation. Copy the four steps listed below, onto a word document or type them up to complete this assignment. Although each member is required to annotate their own source article, the final submission for this assignment will be a group submission, which means information from all members will be saved on to one document.

Each group member is required to find at-least one source to support the main claim of the global issue presentation. Use the following steps to assess, document, and summarize your source. If you completed the Closed Group Discussion this week, you should have all the required information you need to complete this assignment.

Source Annotation Assignment

Do not forget to fill out the group evaluation form for this week. It is for a grade.

1. Correctly cite your source in APA style:

For Example:

If your source is an article from an online magazine, provide the author's Last Name, Initials. (Year). Title of article. Title of Magazine, volume (issue). pages. DOI or Retrieved from URL.

E.x. Corbett, C. (2007). Vehicle-related crime and gender gap. Psychology, Crime & Law, 13, 245-263. Doi: 10.1080/10683160600822022

For more details and documentation of other types of sources refer to your textbook, or visit: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/05/

2. Followed by the APA citation, provide a short summary of your article. What are the main points discussed in the article? The summary should be about 200 words in length.

3. Followed by the summary, discuss how you think this source will be useful to develop your argument in the presentation. Your response should be about 150 words in length.

4. Assess the source.

• Who is the author of your article? Provide the author's credentials.
• Where was the article published?
• Is the author an expert in his/her field?
• Does the source provide a well-rounded argument, or is there and bias?
• Did the source take counter argument into consideration?

Although for this part of the assignment, each individual is responsible for assessing, documenting, and summarizing only their own source, the final submission of this assignment should be one combined report. That means, information from all the members will be gathered onto one document before it is submitted for grading.

If I receive multiple submissions from a group that means either the group members do not trust each other, or the group is not working together. Either way, this will have a negative effect on the grade for that group. All members should contribute to the assignment!
